End of Season Party 'The Big Pineapple'

Hey guys it's Shazza again with all the goss on the end of season BWA Comp held at Marshalls Lagoon Nambour. A big thank you to Bob Marshall for the use of the lake all weekend, what a sweet location , location, location. We had 42 riders itchin for a yank behind the Centurion supplied by Gary and Leanne of Brisbane Ski Boat Centre thank you, some sweet driving by Glen Mollee, Peter Cochrane and Brendan Wolf even got a go. What The!

With a muggy day and cyclone Beni around the corver we were all keen to get the comp underway . The phat wake was all the motivation needed to pump everyone up. Some sweet riding took place that day with Team Freex combination of Glen Mollee, Peter Cochrane and Ben Whatshisname taking First Place for the day, with The Cable Guys Steve, Jerremy and an out of towner coming in close behind in Second Place and The Cattle Dogs consisting of Ebo and Kath and an out of towner in third place. Presentation night was held at the Big Pineapple which put on a delish meal for a stack of hyper hungry wakeboarders and a really cool band supplied by Shane's brother. It was also time to bid farewell to the current committee of Eban President, Cath Moore Treasurer and Leita Battersby Secretary, elected in were Shane El Presedente, Joe Treasurer and Jarrad Secretary. We're sure these blokes will do as good a job as the predecessors, thanks to Ebo and Kath who started this going over two years ago what a sucess story. What they have done for the sport is incredible, Ebo and Kath had a vision and made it happen. BWA started with a crew of 8-10 riders to a night comp on the Brisbane River of 300 plus crowd. A dream realised and the BWA was well on its way to being nothing short of awesome. Thanks to you both, all the supporters and sponsors who have helded make it a fantastic couple of years. Anyway on to who took out the comp and it was Team Freex Glen, Peter and Ben congrats! You guys have had a great season.

It was great to see a couple of chicks out there on the water, Sarah, Linda, Briwen, Kath, Danae you rock! Remember procrastination is the biggest thief of time, don't think about it, get out and be part of a really cool sport, heaps of fun, no pressure and you'll meet some really great dudes.
